PATTY BEAZLEY

Patty Beazley, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, has over 26 years of operational experience including the areas of ride safety, customer service, cash handling, leadership training and human resource functions. Patty began her career at Opryland USA Theme Park in Nashville, Tennessee as a front line employee. At Opryland’s closing in 1997, Patty was the Director of Operations. Patty then took on the responsibility of General Manager at Nashville Shores Water Park. Patty has been consulting for the past four years and has serviced several dozen clients. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. A former full time secondary and post secondary instructor and guidance counselor, Patty continues to teach as an adjunct member of faculty for Nashville State Tech College. Even though this post secondary instructor is license to teach in a Tennessee classroom, she is best teaching kids of all ages around the United States. Patty is an active member of Amusement Industry Manufacturer and Suppliers (AIMS), International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), and American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM).

Cindee Patrick is a consultant with 21 years of service experience including areas of operations, training, customer service and employee development. Cindee began her career at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas and worked her way up the management ladder at Opryland USA in Nashville, Tennessee, Fiesta Texas in San Antonio Texas and MGM Grand Adventures in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moving back to Tennessee, Cindee began consulting full time and has served over 60 clients in 9 years.  She graduated from Southwest Texas State with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration. She currently serves as the Training Task Chair for the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM); is on the Board for the Amusement Industry Manufacturer and Suppliers (AIMS), and a member of International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). She won the Antonio Zamperla Award in 2002 for her commitment to operations safety in the industry.

• Won the Harold Chance Award at the AIMS Safety Seminar in 2004 for “Best Seminar Presentation.”

• Have had published works in Funworld magazine.

• IAAPA Safety Inspector - responsible for booth inspections and ride safety training of participating vendors at IAAPA convention, 2003-2005.

Barry Richard has over 30 years in safety, quality, operations and maintenance in the military, NASA and the amusement industry. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a NAARSO Certified Ride Inspector a member of the ASTM F-24 committee on Amusement Rides and Devices and the Amusement Industry Manufacturers and Suppliers (AIMS) International. After earning his BS in Aeronautical Technology, he entered the US Air Force as an engineer and a pilot. Several years in the Air Force Space Program led to an eight-year service at NASA Johnson Space Center where he worked in micro-G and weightless environment test safety, delivered safety engineering training and consulted to experimental test programs. After leaving NASA, Barry pursued accident reconstruction, litigation support and safety consulting to the amusement industry and others. He has continued to narrow his industry focus until, today, safety support to the amusement industry is his primary focus. Barry has over 20 years experience teaching short courses and university undergraduate and graduate classes in engineering, technical and management subjects.
